In the second half of the 18th century, the Borgo was added to the Villa for the peasants' residences, with the typical structure of the Leopoldine houses, where now after careful and long restoration, there are apartments and delightful cottages for rent.
The recognition as a National Monument
Given the historical and architectural importance of Villa di Mandri and the annexed Borgo, the Superintendency for Historical and Artistic Heritage declared the property a National Monument.
